Still cold.

-12F outside this morning. Today's high temp was supposed to be -7, but I don't think it got any "warmer" than -9.
We live in an old building with old windows that give up a lot of heat, but the frost patterns on them can sometimes be beautiful and intricate. Despite the cold it was bright and sunny, which I enjoy.
Happy Hour

February 1st was not only my dad's birthday, but also the birthday of my friends Chung and Amy. This was taken at The Independent, where a group of us gathered for a happy hour celebration for Chung and Amy (my dad=humbug). I'm pleased to report that none of us are old enough or mature enough to have outgrown the custom of buying shots for the birthday kid.

One month in...

Doing well so far.
Uninspired.

I was tired and completely uninspired, so I settled for a self portrait shot in the afternoon's light snowfall (and you thought I had bad dandruff).

Sunset.

I arrived at my studio late this afternoon to see the setting sun throwing some nice color onto the back of my door and into the hallway. It was damn cold in Minneapolis today (11), and is supposed to get even colder this weekend (Sunday's high: -4). The cold weather makes for some great sunsets when the clouds allow.

0-3-1!

This horrible, grainy, blurry photo represents a triumph - The Iceholes FIRST non-loss! (Hey, I take it when I can get it.) We played an awesome game and were evenly matched with the other team tonight. We're now 0-3-1. Woo!
It was 8 degrees out there tonight, but I had many-multiple layers on and was even sweating at one point. Broomball is a ton of fun.

Sushi.
Melba treated me to a delightful sushi dinner this evening.

She was particularly fond of the appetizer.
