Group pic.

This is the group of fine, upstanding young people I decided to spend the weekend partying with. And it was good.

Lutsen, Day 2

Surprisingly, we managed to get out of the cabin Friday morning and made the trip up to the ski lodge at Lutsen. This panoramic was shot off the lodge's balcony, overlooking the slopes and Lake Superior in the background (click image for larger version).
Note: click on over to my Flickr account and the "365" album for the mondo huge version of this image. It has a few technical errors, but I still think it looks pretty cool.

Roadtrip + Snow = Hmm. (edited)
This is what it looks like out the window at work right now:

10 degrees F and snowing at the moment. Melba and I have a 250 mile drive ahead of us this evening (to Lutsen, MN) which might prove to be interesting if the snow keeps up.
I'm posting this pic now, but I may replace it later if I come across anything exciting.

EDIT:
I did come across something more exciting. We made it to the cabin well before midnight, and I shot this a few minutes before midnight:

This was only the start of the weekend's debauchery. Mmm... debauchery.

Sunrise.
I don't shoot many photos of the sunrise, but this morning's was absolutely glorious. The office I work from two days per week is on the 29th floor, so I get treated to awesome views when I'm there.
Hot Wheels.
I used to have about 300 Hot Wheels cars when I was a kid. When I was about 15, I gave them all away to a younger kid down the street who didn't have many toys. Now I'm wishing I'd kept a couple of the nicer ones, but I've started buying a few that I like whenever I find myself at Target. When I was a kid, Hot Wheels cost $0.99. 25 years later, they still cost $0.99.
This one is one of my favorites, a '65 Pontiac GTO.
Iceholes!

Tonight was the first game of the Iceholes' 2007 broomball season. Despite the bitter cold (2 degrees F), and a pretty lopsided defeat, we had fun.

Snow.
I volunteered to chase cones for another driving school today, and on my way home this evening it started to snow. This is my attempt to sum up the high points of my day in one image.
