As requested.

It has been suggested by a certain friend of mine who hasn't even seen this "haircut" that I'm being chick-ish when I bitch about a haircut. She doesn't believe me when I say "no, really, it's pretty bad".

All I want is for it to be one uniform length on the top, and short on the sides - is that too much to ask?

I suck.

Man, do I ever suck (and not in a good way) at this whole blogging thing. Sure, I can string together a decent post once in awhile, but then I go through these lulls where I can't even force myself to write - even when I have stellar material to write about.

For instance, four days ago I paid $60 for what was quite likely the worst haircut I've ever had, given to me by a guy who just had a stroke two weeks ago. Then I paid another $22 to get it fixed, only to get home and realize that it's even worse. $82 for hair that looks like I got attacked with a hedge trimmer, and I'm just about the easiest person on the planet to please when it comes to haircuts. All I ask is that it's somewhat vaguely symmetrical.

Even with that kind of stellar blogging material (?), I still can't sit my ass down and write something coherent. Hence, I suck.

A little bit 'o shakin'

Just felt my first earthquake since moving back. Just a 4.5, and not very close to my home, but hey... I'll take it.

I love Southern California.

I'm in.

I moved into my new place last Sunday, and while I didn't really have all that much stuff to move, I still felt a nice little twang of accomplishment. Here's a pic I took right after I got the key:
The furniture was left behind by my friend Charles, who hooked me up with this delightfully cheap little apartment the day he moved out. As a bonus, he also left behind a bunch of kitchenware that I gave him when I moved to Minneapolis. Made for a nice little touch of home familiarity.
