Anticipation.
My scattershot thoughts, in list form - because I love lists.
1. Today is my last day working from the TPS office
2. Tomorrow is my last day at Machinery, Inc.
3. I haven't even STARTED packing yet
4. I pick up the U-Haul trailer on the 3rd
5. I need to get rid of a lot of shit
6. I recently started a new writing project (because, you know, I have so damn much free time)
7. In my short time back in Minneapolis, I've made a bunch of really good friends
8. I can't wait to get back to LA
9. I'm also looking forward to the road trip out, and the stops I've got planned along the way
10. I'm even thinking of doing a little time-lapse video of my drive, if I have room in the car to set it up
11. Gonna miss Melba
12. Gonna miss Duff, too
13. And Dad
14. And friends, of course
15. Will not miss the crappy crap-ass weather

I totally understand the need at times to write only in list form. Good luck with the packing! And happy last of work!
Hope your last days are good ones. Good luck with the packing. It doesn't matter how much time you have, you'll still be packing up to the last minute, that's just the way it goes.
I'm trying to envision a U-Haul trailer disgorging its contents into the space roughly equivalent to a golf cart...
Drive through Omaha and drop off all the leftover stuff you don't want anymore. If all the leftover stuff is cash, that is.
stef: I love me the list. it's tidy.
kell: you're absolutely right - I have moved enough times that I anticipate having to pack stuff as the car is idling out front, ready to go.
mrk: the trailer is 4x4x8 feet, so that's roughly the same size as a golf cart. perfect!
nat: OMAHA?!?!? you've GOT to be kidding.
Have a great drive. It's a beautiful one. especially this time of year. I think I'm a little jealous that you get back to the sun. But, I won't be jealous of all the traffic :-)
