Improvements

Machinery, Inc. has taken a turn for the better as of this week. My supervisor has decided that it is now time for me to share my tedious phone support duties with the other two contractors, so I now spend two days per week doing phone support, two days hanging out in the TPS building making house calls, and one day per week on project work.

In other news... I've posted my car for sale on Craigslist. I really dig that car and hate to sell it, but I really want to start working on a car that I can take to driving schools and track days. Most tracks won't allow convertibles.

And last but not least, I re-hung the dartboard in the studio. I've found that throwing darts while listening to trance music at nosebleed volume gets me pointed in good creative directions.

Sounds like you're starting to have fun at Machinery Inc. It's only a matter of time before they make you perma-permanent.

Looking forward to watching the first installation of "Steve's Closet" during the first week of January! Host it yourself, man, host it yourself.

What kind of car are you looking for? We have a Miata that my hubby has driven in several track days and driving schools. However, he has a roll bar in it, so I think that's why he can use it. He's also done some autocross with it. But his friend has an MR2 and smokes him every time.

Miatas are a riot, I love watching videos of the Spec Miata races on YouTube. I used to know a guy in San Diego who had a Mustang V8 shoehorned into his Miata - that car was ridiculously fast.

Brainerd Int'l Raceway (my local track) won't let any convertibles on - even with rollbars, so I'll be buying a '92 or '93 BMW 325i 4 door. The 4 door will eventually have it's interior removed, and a full roll cage installed. 4 doors for the extra room to haul tires/tools/etc. to the track on race day. It'll always be street legal, since I won't be buying any tow rigs or trailers anytime in the future, but it'll be more race car than street car by the time I'm done. Should be fun.

Oh, that's a little more serious than we are. Sounds like a lot of fun.
